Let me introduce you to the “Falling Tree” 1 of 30 transitions in the Movement Flow System, it emphasizes flow and the ability to absorb, rotate, and switch, creating a strong connection between your body and mind.

Recommend Warm-Ups
Warming up the wrists, ankles, shoulders, hip flexors, and spine is a great idea. Spend about 30 seconds per body part to prepare.

Instructions

✅ Start in a single leg squat with the other leg straight in front of you, staying on the ball of your foot for balance.

✅ Shift your arm one foot to the side and one foot forward while extending the straight leg forward.

✅ Absorb the momentum slowly with your arms and lower your hip down to the floor.

✅ As your hip touches the floor, start to bend both legs and perform a switch—straighten the bent leg and bend the straight leg, keeping both knees off the floor to create a smooth rotation of your pelvis.

✅ As your legs switch, extend the straight leg to the side and push your hands against the floor to sit up. You’ll finish on the other side with switched legs and the straight leg extended to the side.

✅ To master the Falling Tree transition, practice the middle part where both knees are bent, and roll to one side, switching your legs. Then roll to the other side, switching your legs again.

Life teaches us through tough times. I learned this the hard way when 500 pounds of drywall fell directly on my knee in a construction accident. It was a rough time, but it changed my life for the better. I had to work hard to get back on my feet, literally. It took a lot of effort and patience, but I made it through.

I want to share this story to give you some hope. If you’re going through a hard time, remember, it won’t last forever. You’ll learn something valuable from it.

You’ll come out of this stronger and more aware of yourself. So, keep your head up and believe in the power of change.

Taking a moment to reflect over my journey through

Taking a moment to reflect over my journey through this post. It's been 12 years since I turned a new leaf, leaving behind my days of smoking and drinking. Back then, life was a series of days on the construction site, where I was just another face in the crowd, trying to blend in.

I often think about those days, building structures and comforts for future people to enjoy, yet feeling disconnected from them. My body bore the brunt of that hard life. I’ll never forget when a load of drywall, weighing 500 pounds, crashed down on my knee. That moment changed everything – surgeries, metal in my foot, and a year and a half on crutches.

But, that moment of pain was also a moment of awakening. Now, when someone wonders if I've always been into fitness or dance, I smile and say no. Life’s greatest lessons came to me later.

This journey makes me realize, we're all creators of our destinies, shaping our path with each decision, each step. It’s never too late to reshape your story.

Together, we learn, we grow, we heal. Keep moving, keep dreaming, friends. The beauty of life lies in its constant motion.
